First from the "manufacturer's" web-site:
What I actually received looks a little different than the picture. Becky had this listed for $379, which is a little better than their $439.95 list price. Although they say "chrome", it has a dull finish and looks more like stainless steel.
The first thing I noticed was the box says it was made in Turkiye. I don't have a problem with that, since the gun came from American Tactical Imports. The next surprise was the magazine: although the manual says 18 rounds, and on the box it says 18 rounds, the web-site for ATI says 20 rounds. There is an extension on the bottom of the magazine and it says "Plus Two". The next surprise was looking down from the top of the pistol - there are two ports. With the weight of this thing, I don't really see what it would be needed, but it is there.
Unfortunately, the sights are adjustable for windage only, and are of the 3 dot variety. The other negative is that it only comes with one magazine. It comes with a cleaning brush and cleaning loop.
It does have long contact surfaces for the slide/frame (unlike Glocks). They aren't as long as on the EAA Witness or Sig P210, but there certainly is enough to keep the slide in consistent alignment.
The fit is very tight, even with the slide pulled back all the way, there is very little movement with the barrel, and of course the slide to frame is very tight. The locking mechanism is very much like the Sig's, according to my memory. Haven't seen a Sig in awhile.
Unknowns: how well will it shoot? I won't know until next month after my doctor visit - assuming he will let me shoot it. How will it hold up under heavy use? I'll probably never know because unless it is extremely accurate with me shooting it, I don't plan on putting that many rounds through it. With the price of ammo these days, I have better guns to send the bullets downrange.
