Why didn't I buy this sooner? I spent so much time thinking about it and finally just got tired of thinking about it and bought it. Sometimes you can "shop" too much.
I put the Volquartsen trigger in it this morning and then quickly boresighted it and took it to the range. The trigger went from a factory pull of 5lbs to 2lbs, but was creepy - crap.
As usual, the x-axis was correct, but the y-axis needed a slight adjustment at 25 yards. Then I moved it out to 50 yards, and re-adjusted the scope. The results were unbelievable. I got tighter groups with it than with anything else I own. This gets better groups than the Remington 504-T (22LR) and XR-100 (22-250).
Of course I'm not totally happy because of the creep. If it was a bolt action or single-action, I'd attack the engagement. However, since it is a semi-automatic I'm reluctant to jump into changing the engagement. I'm hoping as I shoot it that it will get better.
