Remember the TV commercial that said: if you get your hands on a Toyota you will never let go?
It is probably because you sunk so much money into it.
I must admit that I have spent $1500 in repairs on the 840. The valve covers were leaking and messed up a couple of spark plug/cables. Having just had shoulder surgery, there is no way I could have done it myself.
I have spent some money on the 325 for parts, but did all the labor myself with the exception of some body work as a result of hail and my not so perfect driving.
The great thing about our 3 BMW's is that they were all made in Germany. I can't say the same for my Sig Sauers. Oh, and my Nissan was made in the US, but by non-union workers (that is why it didn't cost a lot more).

When we were looking for a new car last year, my wife ruled out Toyota and Lexus due to the safety issues. I disagreed at the time but she proved to be right. (She would say as usual.)
