Since you have such fondness for S&W, why not the S&W 500, or .460 S&W? Wait a durn minute here. It isn't me that has the fondness for S&W, it is DA. I sometimes think he has stock in the company. It is that he gives me a lot of advice and it always makes a lot of sense. I was leaning toward the Taurus, but then thought if I was happy shooting .44 Mags, I'd be unhappy that I hadn't spent the extra for the S&W. Funny that you would say that because I think of myself as a Ruger man, or I guess Ruger TMan would be more accurate. However, I'm a bit disappointed in the Mark III. I doubt if I'll buy another one. On the other hand, I have several Buckmarks, and they are coming out with a new model, which isn't on their web site yet, but the local gunsmith's buyer ordered one figuring that I would want it. He is probably right. Whoops, almost forgot why I was answering your post: I was thinking of the S&W 460 because you can shoot so many different types of ammo through it. I need to do the math on recoil energy before I decided to get one. Really, I was joking about the .454 Casull, I'm not sure I want to go higher than the .44 Magnum, but who knows?
