When a revolver presents an uphill challenge to carry, I want a holster system which is multipurpose in design. This belt is not lined because I do not expect to wear this revolver around my waist for very long. I obtained an unlined belt which, not only carries cartridges, it has about five extra inches of length to accomodate slinging the holster over my shoulder. The unlined belt makes it more flexible too.

Thanks TBT; I actually have far less invested in this rig than any other I have put together, including the revolver. My brother gave me the buffalo horn grips and holster, the belt was bought off ebay, and the Ruger was one I bought from a co-worker a few years ago. The ammunition cartridges were some that I bought from someone who had liquidated his 44 magnum inventory.
