Seems to me that in almost all circumstances, firearms should be kept concealed for the bearer's own self interest.
I agree with DA; I can understand the show, but I don't think it will be beneficial to gun owners. There are a lot of things one "can" do, but really shouldn't do. Openly carrying firearms at a presidential event will likely win you some serious scrutiny by the Secret Service, who's sworn duty is to protect the president.

I don't think it is the time get cocky about about rights, especially displaying your weapons in the presence of a Democrat anti-gun rights President's rally. That is reasoning behind the use of signs and bull horns.
