Here is a link to another web-site that is pretty much devoted to Crosman, but it has a lot of good links if you want to buy parts or make modifications to Crosman air pistols. At this point in time I'm rather pro-Crosman; I think they are a very good value and there are a lot of after-market parts available. www.crosman-air-pistol-owners-forum.com/links.htm

I use the Crossman pellets and CO2 cartridges in my RWS Pistols. Kind of funny because I use RWS pellets in my Crosman pistols. I strongly recommend to NOT use Gamo pellets. When I bought the IZH-46M, I inserted a Gamo pellet, pulled the trigger, and nothing happened. When I looked at the pellet, I found that the skirt on the pellet was malformed. I tried it several more times with the same results. Instead of sending the pellet down the bore, it just bent the skirt. At this point I was tic'ed and sent an e-mail to the company I bought it from. After awhile I decided to try a different brand of pellets. It was cold outside so I was in the family room and put in a Beeman pellet. I pointed the pistol at the empty box it was shipped in, and pulled the trigger; all hell broke loose. The pellet went through the box and proceeded to ricochet around the room. I carefully checked the figurines and vases in the room and couldn't find any damage. Also the Waterford lamps didn't show any damage. Whew!!! We have a glass top table in the dining room, which is adjacent to the family room. My wife noticed a small chip out of it. How could that have happened? I quickly sent an e-mail to the supplier and told them that I'd found the problem. Their reply was: "You understand why we don't allow anything with the name 'Gamo' on it in our shop." On the Gamo topic: my grandson sent his PT-80 back to them, and they replaced it under warranty. Incidentally (don't take offense), "Crosman", with one 's' is a manufacturer of airguns. "Crossman" was Jesus Christ. While unable to do anything after shoulder surgery, I did a small study of apologetics. I'm pretty much convinced that He was what He said He was - i.e. the true Son of God. There is just so much logical evidence. Time permitting, and I'm still alive, I want to study the topic even further. There have been several books written on the subject and each was written by someone that was out to proof His claims were false, and had to conclude that they weren't and became a true "believer".

I quickly found out about this by using the google search engines ;D. The RWS pellets didn't work too well with my RWS Pistols, but what I found, the Crosman "Copperhead" Supermatch wadcutter pellets was feeding without a hitch. The RWS pellets seemed to be too tight in the rotary magazine.

Tman, sounds like an interesting but scary experence. Glad nothing was broken and no one hurt. When I first got my IZH, not having a bullet trap I used some old sheetrock I had left over from remodeling. One shot and I figured I had better have another piece of sheetrock or a piece of Plywood. Sheetrock doesn't last very long, so I loaded a box with a punch of rags, that worked better. My son saw my set up and for my birthday he bought me a .22 bullet trap. Now that works great. ;D

I never tried using rags, but I did put an old pillow inside a cardboard box. I was shooting BB's rather than pellets, and collected and reused the BB's.
Like you, I now have a 22 bullet trap, but I've never used it on 22's, just with pellets.

I've often taken a cardboard box and filled it (loosely) with newspaper. Works well with airguns.
