Ed, a.k.a. my photographer, is on vacation this week so I don't have a picture of the gun yet. However, I did get to shoot it, and I was extremely impressed. I don't think that I have anything in the safe that shoots any better. Well, let's say pistols, I have shot a little better than this with revolvers, but I'm not sure why.
Not only was I impressed with the DW, but several people dry-fired it (they got there after I'd shot up all the ammo that I had with me), and they were also impressed. I can't think of anything that has a better factory trigger feel. I know, I know, the "Free Pistols", but they are in a different class. Also, when you use a gauge to measure the actual pull, you get quite a surprise: 4lbs. The "experts" at the range guessed around 2lbs, as did I. So it is a full 1/2lb heavier than my Wilson's, but it doesn't feel it.
Another thing, besides the sights, that I really like is the checkering on the front strap. I've held some pistols and the checkering sort of digs into my hand i.e. it isn't comfortable. DW got it right.
As it comes from the factory, the gun is very tight on the slide to rail fitting, and the bushing does require the use of the supplied tool to remove it as I mentioned in my previous post: handgunforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=addbookmark&board=combattargetpistol&thread=3595&page=1
The Valor comes in two models, the cheaper one, which is the one that I have in Stainless, and then the black one that has a ceramic finish, but it costs several hundreds of dollars more. I think it has nicer grips too, but I don't know for sure having never seen one, just the pictures on the CZ-USA web-site.
Would I recommend the Valor? Oh yeah.
They do have a picture of the gun that I have on their web-site. I'll try linking to it here.
