These are pistols that we can not have here in Canada due to the barrel length of being less then 4.1" long. The 25 to 32 cal are also prohibited up here unless you have a collectors licence as well. WE certainly would like to own a few but when its illegal here the Mounties don't care and they enforce it rather heavily.

....blueglass; What about revolvers ?....Does the barrel length also pertain to these handguns ?

blueglass; The Colt Commander 1911 has a Barrel Length of 4.25-inch. I carried one until I began to downsize to the 3 1/2 inch Colt Officers model.
....After carrying the steel frame Colts for awhile, I switched over to the alloy frames of tthe Sig Sauer 220, in .45 acp. with a barrel length of 4.4”. The Sig Sauer 226 features the same barrel length, but with a wide body magazine grip well, for a higher capacity magazine.
