Nice writeup. I visited the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum in Cody, WY about a month ago. It has the largest collection of firearms I've ever seen. Thousands. Very interesting collection and well worth the stop if you're ever out that way. www.bbhc.org/www.bbhc.org/explore/firearms/

....Quote : " Firearms are tied to the settlement of The American West". .....I agree, but many Americans ties Our Rights To Bear Arms to The American Revolution.

His Grandson JIm Cody is a friend of mine here in Canada as I worked with him at our plant for nearly 30 years together. He is into Drag Racing quite a bit and big block Chevys as well. He is a spitting image of his Grandad if you were to compare the two of them by picture and in person.

Actually he dosen't as it appears his family never really discussed it very much at all he said.. I know his Grandmother who was Buffalo Bill's daughter lived on the sidestreet 3 doors from my house. Some cousins apparently inherited the estate as Jim does not really have anything of his granddads at all. I suspect it may have been his great grand dad as well but am not positive at all. I know he's a spitting image of him even down to the small pointed beard he wore. He believes the cousins still operate the Buffalo Bill museum but I cannot say with any form of certainty at all if this is still true. We both worked for GM Canada doing a 30 year sentence before we retired. We built Locomotives and the Armoured Vehicles for the Marine Corp in your country as well as our own Army here.
