...This guy is talking to the average ignorant 1911 owner, that knows very little about the pistol. The comments has been disabled for this video. Using four letter words to describe a 1911, don't play much on his claims to be a firearms instructor. "Ego" ?...."Pretty" ?......"Decorative" ?

Its strange how my $349.95 45 acp works like a million dollars even with home made ammo. Its one of them cheaper Norinco pistols from China. I have fired the Glocks and do not care for them at all with the kick back of them in my hands. The Norinco is 10 times the quality in my mind and proves it every time I bring it out to the range as well. When a speaker has to use language in his speech he is not a good speaker at all and does not impress me with his topic knowledge. It makes him look very illerate for sure.

DA, you owe me for stirring up this pot (love ya). ....Thanks TMan; This "So Called" Guru said that he would welcome any comments, but, he disabled his comment section on youtube. .....I went to his Dot Com Website, and it's a one way talk show stage act. ........It's people like him, that gives Gun Owners bad names and mixed opinions about ownership. I like to portray Gun Ownership in an entirely different civilized perceptive.
........It's about time that we approached this topic head on.
........................Thanks Again.

...blueglass; I have been to other forums in the past, and heard the very same things about the 1911 & The Glock. What turns most people away from the Glocks, is the Overzealous Glock Fanatics.....Most of them never owned a semi-auto before. There acceptations to this rule, but not very many.
......It's often said that the 1911 is like the small block chevy.

How true as the small block Chevie will run for almost forever, its a good thing that this idiot won't with his uneducated idea's and comments. I actually feel sorry for his students with a person like that at the head of the class. He's a very poor spokesperson to represent the firearms industry. Even Glock should be embarassed by him in my view. Up here we would laugh him off the stage real quick and send him packing.

Up here we would laugh him off the stage real quick and send him packing. ......I got out of The U.S. Army in 1976, but, what I had been taught, while I was there, was Instructional Training, Public Speaking, and Class Presentations. These things carried me into civilian life. This lopsided moron never received such training. .......On another Note : .....Watch the mannerisms of Johnny Carson....His Posture, His Hands, His Speech, and How he presents himself to his audience : ........Watch Jay Leno : ......Johnny and Jay are few speakers that can get away with placing their hands in their pockets, while speaking to their audience. I'm fairly sure that Jay probably learn a lot from Johnny Carson.

....The reasoning behind me using Johnny Carson, as an example of a speaker; My Training Instructor, at Fort Benning in 1975, gave Johnny as his role model for public speaking.
......In 2001; I was asked to give a presentation to the entire faculty, where I was employed, and some visiting heads of the corporation. The Facility Manager was a Retired Marine Colonel, and I couldn't help but notice that he would incorporate Johnny's famous golf swing into his monthly updates.
.....Cut to the chase :
.......A day after I gave my presentation, the Colonel came to me and told me something about Jay Leno.

All I heard was blah, blah, blah... My wife recently took a handgun course with a good friend of ours. He is a Navy SEAL and really knows his stuff. But, he really likes Glocks. My wife was using a P226 9mm. I wasn't there, so I don't know what happened, but she said she couldn't get the grip right like the instructor wanted. It hurt her rist. I say, she was gripping incorrectly, but what do I know. The instructor has her shooting his G19. She loved it and shot it well. When she came home and said she wanted the G19 for carry, I strongly said no way, not a chance. Don't get me wrong, the G19 is a reliable combat weapon, but my wife will NOT be carrying one. I just don't think they are as safe as other makes available. Honestly, I wouldn't let her carry a 1911 either. Sig, CZ, HK or even Kahr, okay. I took her out back with a P225 yesterday. She shot well and liked it, so hopefully, I won't have to go through this with her again. BTW, I own one Glock, a G23 Gen II. I have had more malfunctions with my limited time shooting it than all of my 1911s combined. I am sure there is something wrong with it that can be corrected, but I haven't taken the time to figure it out.

Oh, and if 1911s just are not reliable, this video guy should let all of the champion shooters that make their living shooting 1911s know, because I am sure they don't know.

TA, the only government size 1911 I ever had a problem with was the Dan Wesson Patriot. I had a few failure to feed problems with it.
The shortened 1911's are another story. I wouldn't trust my life with one of them, let alone my wife's (whom I can't get to shoot or touch a gun).
I have two Glocks: G34 and G17L, with totally replaced fire control systems. Even with the vastly improved trigger, I still have never shot them well.
Ole buddy, you got me with the P225 comment. I was scratching my head thinking: hmmm, is that something new? Nothing on their web-site, so I tried a Google on it. OK, I know it as a P6.

All I heard was blah, blah, blah...
......What I heard, was an irritated noise that reminded me of a puppy yelling for his mommy's teet. .......Riddle Me With This Puzzle : ......If the design of the 1911 pistol is so bad, then why are most of the firearm manufacturers producing these pistols ? ......The insult was criticizing the genius of John Mose Brown. .....This poop scooper calls his site "Tactical Response", tried to respond to this youtube video but the comments has been disabled ;D ;D

Strange for what little I paid for my Norinco I do not have any problems with it at all. I have put around 2000 rounds thru it at least and it has never failed to eject or have a jam of any kind as yet. I did change the sights on it to a target type but other then that it has been great.

....Most of the complaints about the 1911, that I read or heard, comes from the mouths of Glock owners. Do the math ;D
......Once, I had a neighbor, standing beside me at the range, and he was shooting a Glock. I took a small break to reload my magazines, and began talking with him. He asked if I wanted to shoot his Glock, and out of being friendly, I agreed. When I was finished, I asked him if he wanted to shoot my Wilson Combat 1911; He told me that he had no use for those kind of pistols. This was not the first time that this happen with me and other Glock owners.

Very few members at my club own a Glock with the exception of the guys are are Police Officers. They are forced to carry one as their sidearm on the job but cannot take it home to practise with at all so they buy a used one to beat on. I have never heard one of them speak highly of them yet as they usually claim they are too light or plastic feeling like with a lousy kickback feel to them. I personally do not enjoy shooting them at all myself and usually turn down the offers to do so as well.
