I want the Signature Classic model myself. Sure is a Beautiful Pistol for sure. Maybe if I am good Santa will bring it in about 30 years from now. I doubt my wife would be pleased if I spent that much on a single gun at this time.

....At one time, these 1911 pistolsmiths was doing a lot of business until Kimber began to made the custom features standard. Look at MLB's Ruger 1911, it would take over $2,000. dollars, or more, to get these features done on a standard Colt 1911.

...Check out the hand fit, on this High Ride Grip Safety. The difficult part of this, by doing this yourself, is re-bluing the work. This is why, many prefers Stainless Frames for their projects. www.volkmannprecision.com/main/gallery.html#Volkmann Precision Gallery

Notice the pop-up that Luke Volkmann is no longer there. I wasn't aware of this pistols or I'd probably have snagged a Centennial. The price is competitive with the Ed Brown Centennial that I don't shoot.

You have a toy that you don't shoot, I just could not do that with a great gun like that as to me they are meant to be enjoyed on the range. Even my cheap Chinese kimber-Norinco 45APCTT is used on occasion. All my toys get to be fired monthly if I can help it.

blueglass; I have met car collectors that buys new special edition automobiles, and never drove the cars. After a few years, they load the car on a trailer and take the car to special events for show. These cars still has the factory plastic covers on the seats. Children Toys, in the factory box, is the same way.
....I took some photos, of one particular car.
....Baseball Cards too.

Blueglass a.k.a. Bluegrass, there are somethings that are just investments because I know the price will keep going up. I think I mentioned before on this forum that the day I returned from overseas to pick up my Kimber Centennial that I was offered $1,000 more than what I payed for it.
If Sig Sauer ever ships the P210 Legend that I've had on order for ever, it is one that I will shoot. It has a different hammer that the P210-2 that I have so it shouldn't make me bleed. ;D
I have one of the final 500 P7M8's in a presentation box that H&K made. I won't shoot it, but I also have a P7 PSP, which is basically the same gun and I do shoot it. In fact it is my brother's favorite gun. Why don't I give it to him? Because he lives in New York State!!!!! If he ever moves to a red state, I'll give it to him.
I also have several of the Talo versions of the 1911's and they also come in presentation boxes and I won't shoot them. Some guns are meant to be art works. Compared to other art works we have bought over the years, the guns are cheap.
Speaking of art works, our greatest art works were done by God. When we remodeled we went for some expensive granite. Just replacing the ceramic tiles on the two fireplaces with granite cost $14,000, but the one in the formal living room is just amazing.
We remodeled just as the Home Depot Expo Center was closing. They had a granite slab on displace and the colors in it were incredible. The timing was perfect. When we went to the fabricators to see how we were going to lay out the patterns on the granite, we were walking down their driveway and there was the slab from the Expo Center. The most beautiful part is in the guest bathroom. The upstairs bathroom and utility room also got part of that slab, but the color isn't as good.
I'm just in awe that this granite was buried in the earth for millions of years, and how did it get all the colors?
