These are the one's you'll most likely find on the Pre-Owned Markets, since they are no longer manufactured. One of my favorites is the S&W 29 -2, another is the Colt Series 70 Gold Cup. My list for the discontinued guns are very long, these are just two of my many favorites.

S&W 1006 . I rarely see one, and if I do, it's too expensive for me to buy spontaneously.

Isn't the S&W Military & Police the same thing as the Model 10?

Isn't the S&W Military & Police the same thing as the Model 10? The M10 is the final evolution of the M&P. I may get corrected on this, but to me, a M&P has the half moon sight, and five screws.

Isn't the S&W Military & Police the same thing as the Model 10? There is the Post War Model 10 M&P with the 1/10" serrated ramp front sight, and the Early postwar versions with the round blade front sight. The post war .38 M&P series are with the Model 10, 11, 12, and 45. The successor to the Model 10 is the Model 13, The .357 Magnum Military and Police Heavy Barrel, on the K-Frame. The Model 45 was designed as a training gun for the U.S. Postal Service in .22 LR, the only K-Frame produced in the .22 LR, without target sights. Smith & Wesson made some prime revolvers, and some were still being manufactured during the eighties, the Model 13, with the heavy barrel, is a niece looking revolver. I'm very fond of the earlier S&Ws with the barrels that stand out on their own, rather than the full lug versions of more modern times.

Beretta M-70s .22 (good luck finding mags for it, too) Colt Detective Special in stainless. Ruger Security/Service/Speed Sixes - someone should have bought the tooling & design bpts off of skinflint Bill R., & then customized them with better grips, finishes, HiViz sights, etc. - everything Ruger was too cheap to do on them originally.
