Well I missed out on the Ruger GP100 that I wanted, my dealer sold it a few days ago. As usual a day late and a dollar short, but not today. I went to another local dealer to look at a Dan Wesson and he realized that he also had a Colt Trooper MK. III .357 Mag. blued with a 6" barrel in 98% condition, I picked it up, and I couldn't put it down ;D The action is unbelievable! I bought it for $300, and I really love the way it looks. I called Colt and they're sending me an owners manual, and they said it was made in 1973.

Mountaineer; You have a real treasure in that gun, and for $300. dollars, you helped to substantiate my point of buying an upper end pre-owned, for far less than a new gun of a lesser grade, at a considerable savings. What kind of double action .357 magnum revolver can one expect to find for $300. in the new counter section?
