I was wondering where the best place would be to get some information on the Colt Trooper MK.III .357 Magnum. I have over 200 gun magazines and I can't find an article on the Trooper MK.III, and I've done a Google search but not had a lot of luck. Thanks

What kind or info are you looking for? If it's a price comparison I would suggest the bigger gun sale sites like gunbroker, gunsamerica, or auction arms. You might be able to pick up some other info there too. I've got a little book on Colt dates of manufacture by serial number, if that's what your after let me know and I'll look it up.

Oregunner, I already purchased the Trooper MK.III for $300 in about 98% condition, and compared to gunbroker and GunsAmerica I got a pretty good deal. Colt said according to my serial number my gun was made in 1973. I was interested in a magazine article or something similar on the Trooper MK.III .357 Magnum. Thanks for the help.

The original Trooper model , from 1953 until 1969,was a new design, rather than a variation from previous guns. The Mark III series, begining in 1969, introduced stainless steel springs, surface hardening and tempering of all major working parts , Cylinder - hammer safety interlock, counter bored cylinders, smooth double action triggers, and improvements on quality.

Thanks for the info. fellas, I found a reprint of a 1969 article in American Rifleman, that was very informative. Thanks again.
