Watson; I have left a private message for one of our members, who is thoroughly familiar with the CZ pistols in 9mm. As for others; I have posted a separate thread regarding those, with no particular caliber mentioned.

Mr Watson,
I've never met a CZ I didn't like. As far as I know, the Baby Eagle and Witness pistols are all based on CZs.
The 100B is double action only, so it's not really what I would want in a pistol, but that's personal preference.
I have handled the Rami. It was a little small for me, but my wife liked it. Never shot it.
I own a P-01 and may have to buy another one for my wife. I've put about 200 rounds through it, and my wife about the same. No misfires or FTF. We're talking 200 rounds in a day here (both reloads and factory ammo). Cleaning is pretty easy once you get the slide release out. Accuracy is quite good. At combat distances (10 yards or so), I can put 10 rounds in two inches without even trying. The first round Double Action tends to produce a flyer, but that's more operator error than the gun. The high cap magazines from the 75-85 series gun will fit the P-01 as well (a bonus over the Rami and Eagle). I love mine.
I can't imagine anything bad being said about a CZ.

Thank you for your help double and also klm... I have always loved the Desert Eagles and when I saw that they make a baby eagle in smaller calibers... I have always wanted one.. but then I got looking into other brands.. as in Ruger ( I love their rifles but wasnt sure about their semi auto pistols.) and I ran into CZ and some other brands...

You're on the right track. Find some guns that look good to you and then research the heck out of them. That may point you in some different direction, but you'll find what you really want and be more knowledgable at the same time.

mwatson69, I'm a big fan of CZ's. I bought a CZ85 Combat, and a CZ75B both in 9mm. I like them very much. I also have 3 EAA Witness's, 2 of them in 9mm and 1 of them in .45Acp. I've shot the blued 9mm Witness about 1500 rounds, and I've not had any problems with it or any of the guns mentioned above. I looked at a CZ100B in 9mm, but as much as I liked the gun, the trigger was so heavy and gritty, that I had to pass on the gun.

The only reason I was looking at witness is the fact that I want to get a 9mm but also I want to get a bigger caliber and I noticed that with the witness you can switch between calibers by simply swapping the barrel and the clip.. that was appealing to me since I could have my 9mm and my 45 as well....

i own a IMI baby eagle compact in 9mm. I really have to say for the price of the gun, it is a great buy. I have never had any failure of any kind. There are high cap mags available. (but a little hard to find). well balanced gun, and fun to shoot. the decocker and manual safety are nice options. the DA trigger was a little heavy, not too bad and single action was great. for carry however, it is a little thick. (double stack mags). it may not be problem for you, but i would like something thinner for carry. whatever you decide, make sure you let us know!
edit: also, it has polyoginal rifling. so lead bullets are off limits.

I have a CZ P-01 and a full size steel framed Witness in .40. The Witness is actually the smoothest shooting gun I own. I also have nothing but good things to say about the P-01. I was having trouble finding a nice IWB holster for it, so I bought a IWB holster from Galco for a Glock 26 and fits great.
I did have a problem with the slide early when I bought the Witness, but found that EAA's customer service is great, and they fixed it in a timely manner.

if this gun is for self defense or carry, i would think hard before getting a ported barrel. at night or in low light conditions, you may "blind" yourself. i'm curious what the end price will be.

FYI, my personal experience with Tanfoglio hasn't been good. I wouldn't purchase another one. I have both the CZ 75 and Baby Eagle, but the Baby Eagle is polymer, and has molded grips vs. the changeable ones in the CZ 75. I agree with those that say that you can't go wrong with CZ. I also own a Beretta, and will not purchase another one of those either. Actually, I've never had good luck with Italian guns or Italian cars. But, Italian food - yum!!!
