For starters; The Trigger system. This is a pistol with so many choices, it is hard to keep track of all the aftermarket parts and methods to improve upon it's design, and that includes the Fire Control System. Imagine a 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 lb trigger stroke with almost zero take up, zero over travel, and a short fast reset; Now imagine why the 1911 is so darn popular. Just one of many things about the 1911 that I like.

I must have been in a hurry on this one; Did I say "Stroke"?; These triggers don't even have a squeeze, but rather break to the touch. Nothing required but a gentle tap or bump with the finger pad to drop the hammer.
