Hey guy's! I just purchased a Beretta 96FS Border Marshall, I paid $350. It's in like new condition with all original paper work and case. I don't know anything about this weapon and would appreciate any coment on it, likes or dislikes and did I get a good deal or not. As you can tell I don't have a lot of knowledge on this subject but it seemed like a great buy. Thanks for the help.

Mark if you're looking for a price check, you can go to www.gunbroker.com and search for what other people are selling it for. Based on what you said it sounds like a great deal. I do not own a beretta, but I do own a Taurus PT101, which operates with the same principles. The quality and effectiveness of the beretta system is often debated, especially since the military adopted it over the 1911. I would say that i have been very impressed with this design. reliable, accurate and durable. others may disagree. One thing i'm sure most on this board will agree with, is that each person's taste and expectations vary. The gun may work great for you and not with someone else. I wish you the best of luck with your purchase. Post pics if you can! we'd love to see it. and welcome to the forum.

Glad to see that you made it over Mark. I fired about 100 rounds through one once. That was a while ago though. No complaints, worked like it should.
I figured someone around here could give you a bit more info.
Take Care, MLB

uhhomlt; First off, Welcome to our Forum; I would say that you did excellent at acquiring one of these pistols at $350. The list price in New condition for the Border Marshall is $750., in the Standard Catalog of Firearms. As I mentioned on the Handgun Review Site; This is the Commercial Version of the pistol built for the Immigration and Naturalization Service, with the Heavy Duty Steel Slide and short 4.7" I.N.S. style barrel.

Fine looking handgun you have for $350!
The one I fired was an issued weapon for and INS officer. As I remember, it was DAO and had a bobbed (flush) hammer.
