i'm having trouble understanding what this new Sig system is. I see DAK and I think of the German Africian Korps during WWII. All I can find is that it creates a 6.5 lbs. trigger pull in DA. So what? What makes this system different? I know we have some Sig experts in here. ;D

DAK?

NButler; These DAK triggers are aimed at law enforcement agencies who used D.A.O. triggers in the Sigs. In the past it was an issue about some cops not decocking the hammers prior to holstering their weapons. How the hammers became cocked in the first place remains, because the Sigs begin their deployment from the double action position. Maybe some cops forgot about decocking the pistol after chambering a round; That would seem to be a more logical reasoning. Whatever the issues, some cops complained that the double action only triggers were far too heavy. Rather than compromise safety issues, a lighter and smoother D.A.O. trigger, ( No Decocker), was developed to help resolve those issues on the D.A.O. triggers.( Enter the DAK). I can live with a double action only carry revolver, and I might consider a personnal size D.A.O. semi-auto for carry, but not on my Sigs. Still; The 6.5 lbs is not too bad for a D.A.O. semi-auto.
