I know how much y'all love your 1911's, and if ever there was a gun deserving of such treatment...
24k is awfully soft for a handgun finish. I'd prefer mine stainless, or that new WWI blue finish that been around for $900+.
Edited to add: any of you have any real safe queens, guns you only keep for show.?

Edited to add: any of you have any real safe queens, guns you only keep for show.? If there is any gun in my safe that qualifies to be a "Safe Queen", it is my Colt Single Action Army. It's not that special, it's not a custom gun, not really expensive, I just like it alot, and always wanted one as a kid.

DA-That is a fine looking revolver and the holster is also very handsome.

Thanks TPT; I found some use for those aluminum cased CCI Blazer cartridges, they won't tarnish like the brass cases in the belt loops. The Holster is a Galco Trailboss; I've had this rig since 1995.

That is a nice setup. I'd be doing some mosey-ing around Kennesaw if I had that rig.

My dad lives in Acworth, but I haven't been up there in several years. I used to go up there at least three times a month but things got to be overdeveloped. My Dad's Mother In Law was the original owner of the little white house across from the Big Shanty Museum in downtown Kennesaw; They lived there until about 1980. After Kennesaw passed that novelty ordinance about everyone owning guns, it wasn't uncommon to see locals hip swinging their revolvers around town.

This one is my safe queen. It's a double digit serialed gun from 1910. Since each part bears a serial number, and they are all matching, it is a non-firing safe queen.
