looking at sub compact semi auto's. Glock 27 is first choice then glock 26, only reason for 27 first is the diff barrels you can drop in. .357 sig and .22 conversion kit looked nice. XD is also a option but have seen problems with the finish and spring they come with stock. Anything with same power/size that you all would recommend or have anything to say about the 27? thanks for help

The Glock 27 is hard to hang onto. Even with the finger extension on the magazine, and even when using some unique techniques. If I had to choose between the 27 and the 26, I'd go with the 26 simply because the 9mm makes the 26 easier to control.
I just got rid of my 27 last week...

i have really big hands and had no trouble shooting as fast as i could, the whole clip, and hitting head every shot.. so the smaller the better for me.

Hi aweusx I have the G27 in .40 , .357 sig and the .22 kit. I have small hands short fingers and the gun works for me.All three calibers shoot without problems.Try the G27 in .40 cal first (rent at range if posible) The .357 has a little more jump and is harder to find were I am. the cost at Wallys on a 100 white box .40 cal isn't bad. This is my only Glock .

I am also in the market for a compact pistol. After looking at all the options, I am leaning toward the Sig p239 with sig nite sights. Nicely constructed. Balance is outstanding and is highly concealable. Price is reasonable. About $599 with nite sights.

5906,
You'll find plenty of Sig fans here too. Welcome to the forum.

I've had my 239 in .40S&W since '98, purchased the 357 sig barrel within a few months afterward. That was the beginning of my relationship with the .40 S&W/ 357 sig barrel conversions with the Sigs. The 239 continues to be my primary carry pistol.
