It's about that time again. Days are getting shorter and colder, and I find myself indoors more often. Time for another project I think.
Down in the basement I found that block of ebony that I picked up. I grabbed that along with the other bits of exotic hardwood that I considered for my PPK/S grips.
The dark wook should look good as a custom backstrap for the P99. Being right-handed, maybe I can shape it in such a way that it feels even better than the (ambidexterous) stock ones. We'll see...

I got a start on it, but fitting the rough block to the frame is proving to be quite a job. I'll post some pictures of the part in progress when I get a chance.
I'm not entirely sure it will even look that good on a polymer framed handgun. It will be an interesting experiment though.
