I'm very patient when it comes to acquiring new additions to my small collection of handguns; so far this method has worked out. One revolver I have been wanting, but not crossed my path lately, is one I should have acquired many years ago; A S&W Model 29, four inch,Blued, 44 magnum. I came across a nickel plated version earlier this year, and purchased it, but I'll still have my eye open for the blued version for this next year. The first time I saw one of these Revolvers was 1967, in a movie called " Point Blank" with Lee Marvin ( The earlier version of Mel Gibson's "Payback"). This was also the first time I saw a duty size 44 magnum used in a motion picture, complete with the sound effects. My choice for wanting this revolver is not based on any movie, but rather the gun itself. I just remind myself on occassions that after having known of this S&W for 37 years, I have not gotten around to acquiring one.

Next on my list is a Ruger Mini 14, but as far as handguns go, prolly a wheelgun as I don't yet have one.

I have two semi-autos (having sold my other handguns to get these), a Mossberg 12 ga., and a .22 LR plinker rifle.
My buddy wants me to get a deer rifle so we can go hunting together. I also want a revolver and perhaps eventually a 1911.
The revolver will likely be a S&W .357 magnum. I'm thinking about a Winchester 30-06 for a deer rifle. The 1911 will come later. ;D

I have many things on my shopping list. Most will take a long time to aquire. Thats ok by me, I have waited this long, a little (or a lot longer) won't be too hard. it is a little easier since I like shooting what I already have. Things I want include; a S&W .357(or some other revolver, but I like the S&W's), a new or used ruger .22 with a 6 7/8" bull, fluted, or slab bbl, and 2 .45's, a 1911, and something along the lines of a sig or h&k It could be a long while if I choose the H&K, not many used ones around here, and new ones...well that will be even a longer wait.
