FEG's Hungarian copy of the original Belgian High Power is supposed to have interchangable parts. No copy right infringement exist because FN had been producing the High Power for 50 years when FEG began producing copies. I've heard many refer to the FEG as a high quality copy at a much lower price. The FEG might have a much heavier trigger pull; You might want to look into that.

The FEG might have a much heavier trigger pull... I didn't think that was possible, mine broke at 7lbs out of the box. I've gotten it down to 6, but I've got new parts I haven't put in yet. Even though the trigger pull is heavy, it is very crisp. You press, you press, and then it goes bang. This is unlike my CZ75 where you press, you feel it moving and then it goes bang. I will say: I'm extremely impressed with the simple design of the BHP. It is a work of art. The only thing I really dislike is how difficult it is to change the hammer spring. I had to put the assembly in a vise. For $300.... Unless they used cheap material, I don't see how you could go wrong. (Oh, DA, I have a new commander still hammer to go in it to so it will stop biting me.)

The FEG Hi-Powers I've seen were nice. There's one at a local shop that I've been eyeing for some while now, but the price is $330. This thing is probably 98-99%, but the price is too close to the $399 CDNN is currently asking for the real deal. A Hi-Power is next on my list, but I need to recover for a few weeks, after paying out to Springfield Custom Shop for some work, and putting money down a CZ 75B. I hope they still have one for me when I have the dough again. If not, I'll probably be nabbing up that FEG.
