I bought this handgun new at a gun show for $469 which included two 15-round magazines. I immediately installed a 3.5# connector, extended slide relese and extended mag release (mistake) to replicate my G34 9mm setup, along with a set of new Trijicon night sights.
I've fired 1500 rounds through it since I bought it, and have not cleaned or lubed it once. I have had no FTF or FTE using Winchester Valu*Pack ammo.
My observations:
Factory sights were really off, 4" to the left at 10 yards. Measured using a sandbag. Aimed to 6 o'clock instead of the normal COM aim to get a true vertical position.
The shorter barrel 4", vs. the 5.5" of the G34 is a big difference. Fingering of the trigger will really throw you off target with this lightweight puppy. Of the 1500 rounds I've shot, 4 were with full mags and the rest retention draws and slide stop reload practice with 2 rounds per mag. I've gotten the pattern down to 4" at 10 yards with a Wilderness belt and kydex holster.
I'm very pleased with the performance of this handgun. The trigger takes some acclimation, so its not for everyone (like 1911 drivers!). My other Glock, the G34 has over 20,000 rounds on it, and I've only replaced the guide rod and a couple of miscellaneous springs. The good news is most of the parts are identical, so my spares inventory will not increase in size or cost.
My only gripe is the extended mag release I installed, which for the small size of the gun is too extended. Its OK with the full size G17/34 grip, but it is in the way and risks a premature ejection (LOL) with this platform.
By the way, mags are cheap < $20 for standard capacity mags (15 rounds). I've found them for $16 from police supply stores on the internet.
