I held a Baby DE for the first time last night. That is one sweet gun. This one was used.
It takes the mechanics of a CZ and (I think) puts some refinement in it. My wife had no trouble racking the slide or engaging the safety/decocker or slide release with one hand (Something that she has trouble with even on the CZs). The trigger was oh so smooth. It seemed a little longer than the DA CZs, but it didn't matter.
I offered $320 cash for it... no dice. I even tried (twice!) to walk out with it. No luck.

Parents can be so unreasonable. Whoa, whoa, whoa, you mean this is owned by your father, and you are trying to get it away from him while he is still breathing? My boys know better than to try something like that - especially when you are low-balling him. Interesting about the trigger. I've noticed that the Baby Eagle trigger is better than the one on my CZ75. I've never like the creep on the CZ. The strange thing, which I've mentioned before, about the Baby Eagle, is if you limp wrist it, it seems like the slide is operating in slow motion. It must be that the recoil spring is fairly strong, and if you don't hold the gun firmly, it isn't pushing the slide back fast enought. Oh, even though it was slow, it never jammed. However, my CZ is steel, and my Baby Eagle is plastic. I understand the older ones were steel, but as the followers of Glock can tell you, the kB's with plastic make life more exciting.
