Picked up a .357 Sig drop-in barrel for my P239 in .40 S&W today. Can't wait to shoot it.
Fit so perfectly there was not even a "plink" when I dropped it in!
Can anyone recommend a range ammo in 125-grain that I would be able to find in the average (not Wal-Mart, of course) gun store for it?

Callahan; Try the Winchester White Box, USA, 125 gr. FMJ #Q4309 for Target / Range. Also try the Federal Classic 125 gr. FMJ #357S2. One thing the 357 sig and .45 acp have in common is the inability to maintain a good supply. I shoot more of these two calibers than anything else; They just seem to shoot up fast. ;D

I often shoot federal's american eagle ammo. Runs about $10-11/box I think. I bought a 1000rds case not too long ago, so I haven't needed to shop for any recently.

Great. Thanks, guys. It would be great if I could get practice ammo for $11 a box. I think the Gander Mountain near me may have all three of those brands.
I figured $150 for a barrel was would be a cheap way to buy a "new gun." ;D

I'm suprised DA hasn't brought it up yet, but Georgia Arms has some .357sig. I haven't shot it yet, but some guys on other forums speak highly of it.
My last case came from ammoman, $209/1000rds including shipping.

I just checked Georgia Arms web page for their canned heat .357sig. Still going for $159.95 + $12.95shipping. Comes to $8.50/box. (and you get a GI ammo can) Don't know how you feel about reloads, but I'll be trying it after I shoot up the rest of my current ammo. www.georgia-arms.com/canned_heat.htm

Not sure how I feel about reloads, either. Sure can't beat the price.

I wanted to bring up the Georgia Arms 357sig, but the only GA 357 sig I've used is their Gold Dot loaded , which they get $16. per 50 rds.; Good stuff if you want to practice with the defensive ammunition. The GA Gold Dot in 357 sig will get 1400 fps ( Although I've seen some test at 1450) and 544 ft. lbs. This is new brass, using Starline cases. Much more reasonable in costs than most others.

What constitutes a 'signed affidavit' for Georgia Arms? Their order page says that they require one stating that the person ordering is over 21 and that it is not illegal for him/her to own ammunition. Not being up on my legalease does this just need to be a signed paper that states this or is it something more official that needs to be notarized or something?

flamdrags; The "Signed Affidavit" is on the bottom of the blank order form. It is a statement regarding your age, your legal and civil status as a bonifide law abiding and mentally stable citizen, along with the fact that your not in violation of any federal or state laws prohibiting you from purchasing ammunition. You can call Georgia Arms for a catalog or request that they send you an Affidavit to sign and return. A fax might serve to speed this up. I signed mine at a gun show some years ago, which they keep on file. Georgia Arms is like any other manufacturer of ammunition when shipping is concerned; Purchasing across their counter requires no such affidavit.
