The largest I've carried was a S&W Model 629, with a 3" inch barrel. The gun was modified with an extended ejector rod, a one piece fixed sight, and a light trigger job; In all esssence, it possesed the potential for being a defensive resolution for a life threatening situation. With a loose enough shirt ( With a large 44 Magnum Patch on the right front, and a S&W logo on the back), this gun concealed quite well.

Largest Revolver I've carried concealed was a S&W 629 in a Bianchi Phantom shoulder rig; The barrel hung about two inches below my belt.

On occasion, I used to carry my 629 Classic in a shoulder rig under a winter coat.

I was hoping someone would catch on to the idea of also being inconspicuous. ;D. Kind of like someone carrying a big heavy piece like they're carrying heavy luggage on one side with a big patch of a revolver on their back.

As much as I would like to claim ownership, I just happened to find that photo on the net. Quite a setup, eh? ;D Looks like it might have been an old anti-aircraft machine gun. Claymores would be much more effective on the border. Ron

Ron; Good thinking on the use of claymores; I doubt if the claymore will ever out live it usefulness. A free fire zone would also be beneficial.

On the other hand, claymores would put the local wildlife at risk. I wouldn't want to hurt any innocent animals. I'm a very sensitive guy. Ron

I carried a Ruger P94 in a shoulder rig for a year or so. That's as big as I have gone as far as frame size. Ruger is a big heavy, blocky gun.
