I'm considering buying a certified pre-owned Sig P229 in 9mm.. Any comments on Sig's CPO program? How about the 229 as a carry gun? Thanks. (I have a P220 and love it.)

texastranger; Buying a certified pre-owned pistol from Sigarms is their guarntee that you'll recieve a pistol in working order. For the 9mm; The 229 might be some what more bulky than what you might find comparitable to the 239, however, I've found my own 229 to fit with many of my holsters I use with my 220s but not the other way around. The Squared trigger guard of the 220 allow's the round trigger guard of the 229 to drop in some holsters that are formed to the 220.

I think the CPO program is a great deal. Sig goes over these guns very well before sending them out. All the examples I have seen look NEW. I think I saw Ordnance Outsellers still has some. www.ordnanceoutsellers.com/index.htm
