I ordered a set of Hogue smooth Pau Ferro grips and refinished and checkered them. They certainly are not Nills, but don't look too bad.

Very nice work TA. I'd imagine that fabricating that shape from a block of wood would be difficult. Hogue wood grips are rather pricey to start. After investing your time in them, they must be hard to market.
Is there a special tool that you use to do the checkering? I can't imagine being able to cut all those straight parallel lines by hand with a chisel.

Very Nice Outlining on those, TA. I would like to see how you do the checkering sometime.
