Hey, PA isn't that far from ID. Hmmm, can you go to another state and buy a firearm or can you only buy in the state you are a resident? Anyone know? TMan; After the Brady Law came about, it changed alot about how firearms were sold through dealers. Each individual state has it's own laws in regards to conforming to Federal Laws, which brings into question concerning how firearms are sold to those who reside in that particular state. If that is the case; A person should be able to still order the purchase of a firearm from another state, and have the firearm shipped to an FFL holder in the state they reside in, if the firearm is not restricted in that state. We have had some trouble about guns getting out Georgia and sold in other states without the FFL holders involvment. The guns are usually purchased by a legal resident of Georgia before being moved and sold in a state where the sale of firearms are more restrictive.

It comes with "FREE" stuff. When companies give aways stuff, I always shake my head - how stupid do they think we are. I guess that answer is obvious. "You deserve it - call now!"

It's hard to imagine how they can assign and $80 value to what amounts to less plastic than is used to make the $3 trash can next to me. ;D Now if they were to throw in a good leather holster & mag pouch...

Wilson Combat sends all kind of free stuff and Colt only advertizes in gun magazines about their free give always; I've missed several free bonuses from Colt by not knowing.

Been doing a little more reading on the gun. Very minimal grip changes going from 9mm/.40/357sig frame to the .45ACP frame.
.45ACP grip 4.400" high, 1.210"wide (side to side), and 2.110"deep (front to back)
9mm grip 4.200"high, 1.200"wide, and 2.070 deep.
XD45ACP=13+1capacity XD9mm= 15+1 capacity XD40/357= 12+1capacity.

The XD45ACP would make a very nice companion to my XD40 Service. Hmmmmm. Very enticing!

How have they kept the grip size down so much? I'm a bit worried about them squeezing the round in there. Might this lead to some structural weaknesses?

They kept the grip size down by demanding that the 45 ACP rounds be rectangular in cross-section instead of round. You can stack more rectangular cartidges in than round ones. After all, the inside of the magazine is rectangular, and you have to shove round cartirdges in there. Isn't that why they are called rounds?
My favorite gun shop (a one man operation) has several on order. He didn't have them in yet when I stopped by on Tuesday, although he had received a shipment of XD9s and XD40s. I'm anxious get a sense of the grip comfort, pointing ease, and balance.
