I'm tired of trying to modify the original post. So here is the update:
Since I have serious doubts that I'll live to be 189 years old, I've kind of given up hope of getting the Taurus 1911.
I did get the 8" Raging Bull, and it is a good shooter. I also got the STI TargetMaster, but I'm worried about getting blister on my feet because it knocked my socks off. ;D I haven't been this impressed since I got the 460XVR. However, the STI doesn't have the noise, and it has zero recoil.
I dry-fired an Alaskan in 480 Ruger, and I wasn't impressed with the trigger. Of course I could do some trigger work on it, I'm just not convinced yet that I want one. Also, they are "allocated" so they might be a little difficult to get.

It looks like you're about done with your list for 2006. I have a couple things still on the list for the short term. There are some rumors that have surfaced once again about some USGI M1carbines coming back to the US some time early next year. These rumors always seem to get my hopes up, but have yet to materialize beyond my computer monitor. I'm socking some cash away, none the less. There is a new shipment of FAL kits that came in recently, so I may try my hand at a FAL build. I have yet to much work on the guns I've aquired this year, but I'm getting to them slowly. I still have to work up my Ruger GP100, I'm happy with the Ruger MKII, so it is staying stock. I've finished up a couple projects, I reworked a couple long arms. I finished up My garand, and an '03. I have yet to shoot the '03. I'm nearly done with another K98. Work was slowed on that when I nearly broke my arm getting my credit card out to buy an enfield chambered in 7.62NATO I'm nearly done with it now too. You've inspired me to start reworking my SKS trigger group, so that's in pieces in a zip lock bag now too. My 1911 purchase currently is delayed pending the rumors of the M1carbines. They aren't making any new USGI M1carbines, but I think Kimber, Springfield, Wilson, etc will be making 1911's for some time to come.

5OT, I have the Auto-Ordinance M1 Carbine, but I'd rather have a military surplus one. This one just doesn't have the mystic that a military one, like the one I qualified with in Basic Training, would have.
You are right about getting them when they are available. Several of the rifles I bought last year are no longer available at MGS. The guy behind to couter told me I should buy a Persian made Mauser, but I didn't - only to find out the following week that they were all sold and he didn't expect to get anymore in.
Now I'm thinking about a "tommy gun" and/or a Martini-Henry.

I saw a couple full auto tommy guns for sale recently, I think the were about $8-9K. The semi auto varieties run about $700-1000. They are usually made from surplus/salvaged USGI parts.
If you're terribly interested in either, I can dig around some of my mailers and internet history for the details of the Thompsons.
SOG has plenty of Martini-Henry's for sale listed in this month's flier. I've misplaced mine during last weeks clean out the junk session.
