I was just reading in Shooting Times, that Dan Wesson revolvers will once again be produced. CZ-USA bought the whole operation and has started production again. I know the old Dan Wesson's are some of the most accurate revolvers out there. A lot of good technology went into these pistols. The choked/tapered barrel, the lockwork similar to the old S&W/rugers, interchangeable barrels, light and fairly short DA pulls, etc, etc. This was confirmed by the author of the article. He stated the Dan Wesson revolvers hold more distance/accuracy records than all other manufacturers combined. I checked them out on CZ's webpage... www.cz-usa.com/products_dan_wesson.php?m=1Current offerings are for 445 supermags, hopefully with others to follow. You'll also see some of DW's 1911's there too. Dan Wesson revolvers seem to be a love-hate kind of thing. CZ is really starting to broaden their sights in the American gun market, and with good offerings too. (I think they are the world's largest gun manufacturer.) The company continues to impress me year after year. Why is it that I don't own one yet? I don't know, but I've been getting the itch for a new 9mm the past couple months.

Let's see, if you can't say anything good,...
I'll make an exception: the CZ-75B that I have was one of my first 9mm. I bought the AGI video for it, and was rather shocked when on the tape he described the need for two slave pins of a certain diameter and length that are needed for a complete disassembly/reassembly. Needless to say, I've never gone through the disassembly, but the gun has less than 1,000 rounds. I've read a lot of good stuff about the CZ pistols, but I haven't been overly impressed. (My CZ-452 is a great rifle for the money, but the trigger is creepy).
My Dan Wesson PTE had a jam during its first 50 rounds. It got a jam, I polished the feed ramp, stuffed it into the safe, it got buried and I haven't seen it since. I wasn't impressed with it. In all fairness I wasn't impressed with the H&K Elite either, but now I love it. Some day I may love the Dan Wesson too. Who knows?
I've seen the woman that runs CZ on TV. To be honest (don't tell my wife), I've been more impressed with her than with the product.

The thing about the DW products is the price jump once CZ took them over. The one thing that CZ seemed to be able to offer was good value. I'm not so sure the DW line is a good value now that CZ took them over and jacked the price.
