Hey guys, new here. I just finalized my order for a new XD 45acp as my first handgun purchase. I go in tomorrow to fill out the stuff for the "wait". I cant wait to put a few rounds through it to see if it lives up to the hype. So far all I have is a Colt 9mm commander and a Ruger security six in 357mag. What I cant get over is the gear system that comes with the XD, a holster 2 mags and a mag loader. All for 500.00! Sweet.

Welcome to the board, fenderbender!
I have an xd 357, and really enjoy shooting it. For polymer pistols, I think the XD is an excellent buy. I've not fired the XD 45, but the guys at the range say it lives up to the press hype. It really amazes me how they were able to make such minimal changes to the pistol, and get a 13+1 capacity gun.
