One particular revolver, which had a grip butt box magazine, was the Dardick, patented by David Dardick. The Dardick had cartridges contained in special shaped triangle shaped outer cases called "Trounds:, which mated with the triangle shaped chambers of the cylinder. As the cylinder was rotated, a fired case would be ejected as another Tround was loaded into the cylinder from the box magazine. The idea of producing brass cases for the shape of the Tround never reached the demand it needed. The Dardick was produced by The Dardick Corporation of Hamden, Connecticut. The idea was conceived in 1949, with the announcement of the first completed pistol in 1954. Small numbers of the dardick was produced until production ended in 1962.

Those "trounds" would be handy in that they wouldn't roll around off the bench...
