I saw these were being imported, and asked a dealer to pick one out for me. This is a German made P08. From what I've read, many/all of them were converted from 7.65 to 9mm by the Finns. This one has wood grips(obviously) and a wood bottom magazine. The importers mark is quite noticable due to the angle of the shot. (I had someone on another board ask how noticable it really was, so I took this shot) I have not cleaned this gun up yet. I just got it this past weekend. A little oxidation to clean up on the trigger, no rust noticable anywhere else, just lots of dried oil and dirt.

Looks like a medallion is missing. Do you know what should have been there?

TA, The importer is TGI = Tennessee Gun. They generally do a pretty good job about their markings (I have a couple guns imported by them), unlike Century, especially recently. I passed on a pretty decent Enfield a couple months back, huge billboard for century next to the original No4Mk1 markings. This Luger came from AIM. I am driving distance from AIM and SOG, but I don't get to handpick my own from their stock. The dealer I bought from does get to pick his own stock. He typically charges $30-50 over AIM/SOG's published price. When you figure in their hand pick fee, $20-40 over. Worth it in my experience. I also bought a nice hex receiver 1928 Tula MN 91/30 from him.
MLB,
From what I've read, there was a SA property disc, identifying it as Finnish property. The disc was removed prior to it being surplussed.
