If you decide to go the revolver route, you might want to consider Taurus. The one I have is only 17oz, and is a very attractive looking gun. (The picture doesn't do it justice). The only thing I didn't like about it was the noticable amount of trigger-slap. My S&W may have trigger slap too, and I just didn't notice it because of the severe pain coming from the other side of my finger having made contact with the trigger guard with considerable force.

That's a pretty sweet looking little shooter. I might opt for the concealed hammer, but that is really nice looking. Looks wise, I like it a lot more than the 442 which I like more than the 642. You like it huh? I've heard horror stories about Taurus and their customer service.

Hey TMan, I was reading that some folks with First Edition PPSs are having issues with the finish (silver paint) flaking off. I didn't realize that the special finish was actually a paint of some sort. I assumed it was molded throught the frame. Have you noticed any issues with yours?

No, I haven't seen any problem, but I don't carry it either. It isn't something that I bought to carry. It isn't really a target pistol either, but it did shoot well. One of the negative things about the PPS is it has the same type of striker design as the Glock and Ruger SR9 vs. the XD, which I assert has a better trigger by design.
