Anyone had any experience with the Steyr Mannlicher MA-1? www.steyrarms.com/index.php?id=4CDNN has the 9mm version for $349 as well as the 40S&W in stock as I write this on Aug 30,2007. I called them and asked about them and they are "brand new". Since the MSRP is $598, the CDNN price seems pretty good. I thought the sights looked rather interesting:

I've never tried to shoot a gun with sights like that, but I've heard that they are supposed to be more instinctive and allow one to get a more rapid sight picture. Reminds me of a relatively new product based on an old concept. I posted info on it some time ago. www.suresight.com/home.htmCurrently all sold out.

That was the other mechanism I was think of... I was racking my two brain cells together trying to recall what it was called. I think I killed one of them off.
Ok, off topic tangent. That comment got me thinking of a philosophy on drinking dating back to my college days. After a long semester studying Darwin, genetics, and natural selection, we developed a Darwinistic approach to our brain cells. Drinking may kill brain cells, but only the weak ones.

Oh-Oh, all of my brain cells are weak. This is especially true of the ones where I'm attracted to certain members of the opposite sex. I guess I shouldn't complain - I don't have any that cause me to be attracted to members of the same sex.
