Unlike the STI LS9, this pistol is very reliable. Also, it fit my hand better than the STI did. I'd certainly trust it enough to carry it. Two downsides:
1) I don't know if it was the trigger or what, but I didn't get much in the way of accuracy from it.
2) It hurts. I only shot 25 rounds through it because the recoil was hurting my hand.

TMan: For sessions with pistols that have sharp recoil or for long sessions, I use an old workout glove -- the type where the knuckles and fingers are exposed and it's held on with a Velcro strap, probably available at any sporting goods store. I
guess you could buy an actual shooting glove, too!
One I use has a gel pad to ease pressure on the palm when you are lifting weights but I don't see that as compromising my shooting.
If you ever really need to use that defensive pistol, hopefully the target hurts worse!

Well, as you may have been able to tell from some of my prior posts, I haven't been too happy with some of the test reports from Gun Tests magazine.
As I mentioned before: I found this gun to have significant recoil. However, that isn't why Gun Tests gave it an "F". Their problem was with the trigger reset. If you fire it and then let the trigger return until it clicks then pull the trigger again, it doesn't go bang. You have to let the trigger go forward until the second click.
Well, if you are in a gun fight, you aren't going to be listening for the click in a reset. You probably won't hear anything save for the ringing in your ears from the first shot going off.
I'll stick with the S&W J-frame for my carry, but the PF-9 is fun to shoot (the 360PD is NOT fun to shoot).
