Anybody owned, shot, or as it was in my case today, ever dry-fire a Luger?
I was told several years ago to not buy a Luger because I'd hate the trigger. Well today a guy showed up at the range with a long barrel Lugar, which he called a Commercial Target model. I asked him if I could dry-fire it - I didn't care how it shot, I wanted to feel the trigger. He let me do it, and it was a good trigger.
He told me that the commercial versions had better triggers than the military ones had. I'd never heard that. The other thing interesting about this one that I wasn't aware of was that it had a grip safety on it.
Anyone with experience?

NO experience with the new commercial stuff. Here's mine before I cleaned it up. it is a German made P08 from the Finnish army. I either shoot it extremely well, or very poorly. I'd love to find out what I'm not doing consistently with it. I think my particular Luger has a pretty nice trigger on it. Just remember, I don't own any sweet target pistols, tricked out 1911s etc. So my trigger finger isn't as finely tuned as most. As I recall, it has a smooth trigger with a clean break. When I get home, I'll have to get it out and try it out again. (mine dates from around 1918, so I'm sure the trigger has been smoothed out some over the years.)
