It is good that you Sig owners know the difference. Recently; After acquiring a P-226 Stainless in .40 S&W, I noticed that the Magazine did not have the familiar Sig Factory dove tail seam, the tube was a lighter gauge of metal, and it was a glossy finish. When it was stamped " Made in Italy", rather than "Germany", I knew it was a Mec-Gar. It appears that the 239 is the same way. My 229 ( .40S&W/357sig), 220 ( .45acp & 38 super), and 229 Sport Pistols are Sig Factory, German Magazines.

After all of the hassles I had with my Mec-Gar mags for the P99, I can say that I am not impressed with their product or their customer service.

I got the stainless Italian mags with my P220ST. They have the zig-zag seam in back. Do the 7 rounders come from the Sig factory?
I've heard that the ACT mags are good, from Snopes Distributing.

9mm; I have not seen the Italian Mec-Gars with the Zig Zag Dove Tailed seam yet; but the German Manufactured Sig Factory mags should work in your 220ST, just as the standard 220s. I do have some Stainless Mec-Gars for the 220 .45 acp, which works very good for target shooting, but I prefer the factory mags for defensive use, because of the American mag release catch. If the fit of the magazine is too slack, it can jar loose from the catch while shooting.I've only had this happen with the Blued Mec-Gars with the 220.
