How does the Canned Heat from Georgia Arms compare with the bulk reloads from Cabela's? I read lots of good things about the canned heat, but have yet to find anyone talking about the Cabela's stuff. I live in MI and have a Cabela's 30-45min. from me and could avoid shipping costs. Or is it best to avoid both and stick with WWB for range use?

The owners and most of the employees at georgia arms are also shooters and enthusiasts, which accounts for much of their business in handgun ammunition. I've been shooting their canned heat for over 14 years and it just keeps getting better with the better guns that I acquire. I have nothing but praise for their .45 acp, 230 gr., FMJ, in the canned heat factory loaded cartridges. Accuracy is dead on the mark, recoil is minimum, recovery is faster than any ammunition I've tried, and it makes me a much better shooter. I've never had a bad day when shooting the georgia arms ammunition. Seems like most of my .45 acp pistols is tuned to the georgia arms ammunition, or the other way around. Their defensive ammunition with the Gold Dot bullets and Starline brass is very good. If your into the AR-15, they sell the .223 in a 55 gr. fmj at $80. for 500 rds. If I had to pay retail store prices for all my shooting calibers, I would probably have only one .44 magnum and one each of three other calibers. I have ten different cailbers of centerfire pistols and the only caliber I have to go outside of georgia arms for practice ammo is the 38 Super. They do not reload the 38 Super because of the stress on the cartridge cases from some handloads that shooters might turn in. Georgia Arms is a company that answers questions about their ammunition, from the factory where the ammunition is manufactured. Every container of ammunition has a lot number with the velosity rating.

I heard that G.A. 230 gr. FMJ has increased in price to $210/1000 from $189.00. I know they have restructured their pricing but haven't had a chance to call them to confirm this yet. The web-site still say $189.00.
DA, do you know if this is the case?

TA; Any change regarding prices have not changed with any current catalogs I've recieved. During the past ten years I have not seen a significant price increase with the georgia arms ammunition. If a price increase is coming, it's long overdue.
