When Tasco went out of business and stopped production of the Optima 2000, there were alot of broken hearts among shooters. The good news is that the only thing "Tasco" about it was the name... "Optima". One importer got these wonderful little sights back into production with some improvements in their brightness and clarity. The new sight is called the JPoint Small Electronic Sight. It's exactly the same size and shape as the Optima 2000 and fits all of the same mounting adaptors. eabco.com/jpoint01.html

Actually, the sight is not Japanese made, it is made by a company in England called Fire Point. Tasco had bought an amount of Fire Point and re-badged them with Tasco Optima 2000. www.dentrinity.com/ClarenceLai/fp.htm
