After buying my Wilson CQB several years ago, I viewed Bill Wilson's video and followed his advice about using his oil and bronze brushes to pre-treat the barrel before shooting. How well does it work? I don't really know because I don't have a control to compare it to.
I recently saw a new (to me at least) product called Frankford Arsenal Bore Moly, which contains molybdenum disulfide and oil. They tell you to coat a patch and run it through the bore 10 times, and then repeat the process. They don't have you use a brush, but tell you to follow with a clean patch. They also say that it prevents copper and lead fouling.
Is this Snake Oil? Could it screw up the barrel? Is it safe to use?

TMan; Brownell's has the same Moly Bore Treatment paste, which is applied by the same method. I was tempted to try it, but saw that repeated treatments are performed every 40 to 200 rds, depending on the ammo used. I look at this to be better for the longer barrels and tighter twist rates found in long guns. Would anyone recommend this method of bore treatment of a Gatling Gun ? ;D ;D
