It appears to pack quite a punch. The following is courtesy of www.ammoguide.com : Interesting, but I doubt if I'll go for it. If I was shooting +P+ and didn't find it powerful enough, then I'd consider it. Since I don't even shoot +P, I can't justify it.

Just call me John Kerry i.e. I've flipped-flopped. I ordered the Rowland conversion. I got an email yesterday that it had shipped, but the ammo was being shipped separately. I'm going to use the Les Baer Monolith Heavyweight as the donor gun. (I ordered a replacement, but there is a one year backlog.

...I found out about the .460 Rowland by watching Johnny Rowland's "Shooting Show", during the 90's. I received transmission of this Show by my 8 ft. C-Band Satellite Dish. Johnny's Shooting Show came on every Sunday evening and he had developed to cartridge during this time. Johnny was also close friends with Clark Custom Guns and Georgia Arms. I met Johnny at the Clark Custom Gun booth, at the 1999 S.H.O.T. Show in Atlanta.I have many Video Tapes from Johnny Rowland's "Shooting Show",it was on Johnny's Show where I first saw Jerry Miculek....Jerry was married to Kay Clark.
.....Here's Johnny : 1911 Hand Cannon :The 460 Rowland Conversion
