Just in case someone else ever runs into this... Actually, I'll probably run into it again, make a post asking for help/advice, and someone can point me to this post. Perhaps deciding to clean a gun the first thing in the morning because I woke up early and Fox & Friends wasn't on yet, really wasn't a good idea. The P90 has an ejector that you have to push down in order to remove the slide. I knew that. I remembered that. I did that. It was quite dirty, I did a through job of cleaning, oiling, and greasing it, and put it back together. Then I tried to cock the hammer. I remembered that if you put the safety on it de-cocked the hammer. Must be something wrong with the safety. Couldn't find anything. Why did I wake up early? Why did I start this today? What could I have screwed up. You smart ones probably have figured this out by now. It was the dang ejector. For some unknown, crazy reason, the ejector is tied in somehow to the hammer action. Putting in a magazine to push up the ejector - voila, the hammer cocks.
