If anyone has an electronic copy of a detail strip guide or an armorer's manual, or can post a link to one I'd appreciate it.
I think the P220 and P226 are very similar, so a guide for a P226 would probably work too.

9mm; The American Gunsmith Institute's Armorer's Video Tape Course is two hours in length, and it covers the Sig 220 and 229 P-Series lockwork and functions. This video cost $29.95 and it's worth every cent. You will be pressed very hard to find a Video that equals, or compares to this one on the Sig P- Series pistols. The P-Series Sigs are pretty much the same, with a few subtle differences, which Bob Dunlap covers. www.americangunsmith.com/

I think you were looking for something free..., but if not, there is a book that is still available called: "The Gun Digest Book of Firearms Assembly/Dissassembly Part1: Automatic Pistols 2nd Edition. ISBN 0-87341-783-6 for MSRP of $24.95.
It has the Browning BDA 45, which is the same design as the SIG P220, 225, 226, and 228. The video that DA recommended is good too, but I really like the book. It has a lot of useless information about guns that the author owned, but aren't currently available, but I was amazed how many of my guns are covered.
The book was also an eye-opener as to how many different guns are really the same (except for materials and workmanship). For example: the F.I.E. TZ 75 Series 88 is the same as the EAA Witness, CZ 75, Springfield Armory P9, Excam TA 90...
I have several of the AGI Armorer's Courses, and they are a bit redundant, but of course if you just buy one... For example: I get tired of him telling me how he likes "Simple Green" for cleaning. The one tape that I thought was outstanding was the one on the CZ 75 because it tells you that you need two slave pins, and the diameter and length of them. That ain't in the book!

TMan; That's funny about the simple green, but what's funnier is I actually tried it. I was in contact with AGI during the production of the Sig Video, and I might have been one of the first to receive a copy after waiting almost a six months. There aren't many video courses available on the Sigs, except this one and another by Lenny Magill. I have both, and the AGI is better illustrated; Sigarms also provides a 229 cutaway for the AGI tape. Anyone who has ever had any gunsmithing work done on a handgun will truly appreciate learning some of the more simple things from a twenty five dollar book or a thirty dollar video tape.

DA, out in my garage there is now a bottle of "Simple Green". After listiening to how gentle it is from the 4 video's I have, I decided I would try it on the Z8's wheels. Worked well!!!
Hey, I hope I didn't come across as being critical of the video's. It is just that personally I've gotten more use out of the book. I suppose if someone has limited mechanical experince it the video would be great for them.

TMan; I prefer manuels with diagrams over the video, but I also found that the most simple procedure performed, will save many times over the cost of either.
