I purchased this P229 from CDNN a few months back after a friend of mine bought two. They were nice, so I picked one up with the 357 Sig barrel, box, 1- 12 round LEO magazine. Very nice shape, dead night sights and slight holster wear on the slide only. CDNN sent me another set of night sights. Since I was taking the sights off anyway, I decided to make it a two-tone. I bead blasted the Nitron down to the stainless and installed the new sights. Here is the before and after pictures:

Your slide looks like new. The stainless grip screws are a nice touch too.

The wear was in the usual points and high spots. There wasn't much, but it was almost through the finish. I have to justify my actions somehow. ;D
The logo and lettering on the slide look faded in the picture. They actually came out very crisp. I used a very fine glass bead, 270/1000.

Home made two tone. Ain't that something? That TA comes up with something better each time. Now let's see you put the RBT finish on... ;D

It's not just guns. Have you taken a look at the spinning reels available today? With all of the chrome, rainbow finishes, and gold trim packages, it may be more effective to cast the reel into the water... ** Edit to add example

Is this stuff for real or are you playing with your Photoshop?
