I got the one that accepts .40 Glock mags.
I must say the overall feel of the thing is "cheap and lightweight".
Well light weight can be good and the thing folds in half nicely.
I had it for a week and just for kicks mounted a Pelican M6 tactical light to it using a tactical wrist strap.
I noticed immediately that I could do "momentary on" just by pulling it slightly back which pressed the tail cap light against the trigger guard....neat. It was held firm and worked well.
Off to the range I went with just 2 boxes of 165GR UMC .40.
The .40 mags didnt fit well that I bought hi-cap. Both were 15 rds one was FML and the other one NFML. I had to take out some sand paper and slim down both mags till they would drop free (both still required a good push to get locked in because they seem to expand some when fully loaded).
I fired the first 2 mags slowly at about 40 feet.....the sights suck but the accuracy was great.
I then loaded up the two mags a second time and a 10rd 3rd gen mag.
I walked up to about 20 feet and held the sub under my arm at weist level and began to spray a target as fast as I could pull the trigger. The thing is surprisingly easy to "point shoot" with me hitting the target 31 out of 40 rds (my spotter said the others went a tad "high") but I could still see the dust kicking up in the bank behind the target and it appeared to be directly behind the target on those that missed.
After that I changed targes and let a couple other guys shoot it. When they discovered the price and "fun factor" all liked it and all wanted one.
100 Rds and not a single jam or hiccup so far. Great fun.
Also I finally got to fire my Sig with the new Trijicons....nothing new to report here. 600rds and not a single jam so far!. Accuracy varies from great to mediocre which is obviously me needing practice.
I find the Trijicons are not as fast since Im lining up 3 dots instead of the standard Bar rear sight on the sigs...Its a bit harder to shoot as good but Ive accepted the trade off in day accuracy for having sights that work in all lighting conditions.
I will do some longer range shooting when I have the funds to buy 5 or 6 boxes of ammo. My impression is that its up to the task but either myself or the sights are going to need some work.
One last note. The overall lenght is so short as to make pressing the but stock firmly against the shoulder and sighting down the sights an awkward affair. Kel-tech makes a rubber slip on that adds 1 inch and some comfort to the process...I plan to get one.
However, bring some small insert ear plugs if you are shooting one of these. The traditional large slip over your head ear protection I had prevented me from getting my face down enough to get a good sight picture.
