Well today was my second trip out to the range with my Savage 93R17 GV. Again my group at 100 yards was 1", which is fine with me, especially for a gun with only around 25 rounds shot through it. I decided to take the target out to 150 yards since there was no wind to speak of. WOW! this group was 3/4" at 150 yards. I love this little 17HMR

What optics do you have on it? Don't tell me you did that with open sights...

5ontarget, I just have a 3x9x40 Simmons on it for now but I would like to get a bigger scope sometime. I'm used to shooting rimfires at 50 yards, and this 17HMR is more like a small centerfire rifle to me. I get a better scope I'm going to try 200 yards!
